Larimer County Department of Natural Resources is seeking a skilled and talented individual to join our team as a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker for Estes Park Area, Fort Collins Area and Red Mountain Area full and part time availability.  We are looking for a knowledgeable and friendly person to assist with our mission.


    Over view

    This position is responsible for building, grounds and reservoir maintenance programs of Natural Resource Department of Larimer County. This includes aspects of maintenance, landscaping and repair of all buildings, campgrounds, facilities, boat docks, buoy’s and other related facilities. 


    • Perform general construction and maintenance tasks
    • The use of basic hand tools
    • Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep of hand tools
    • Perform other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job
    • May require prior trailer hauling experience



    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Prior experience operating landscaping equipment required and driving a truck with trailer. (Riding mowers and weed whippers)
    • Possession of a valid Driver's License required
    • An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked. A successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.

    Physical Requirements

    • Stand / kneel and walk for long periods of time over all forms of terrain.
    • Push, pull and lift heavy objects.
    • Work out doors in all type of weather conditions and/or under varying degrees of stress for extended periods.
