    The Information Specialist will have a very important role.  They will be expected to perform tasks related to agency policy management and dissemination, create and maintain database reports, and assists the office of public information. 


    Specifically, an Information Specialist:

    • Processes, files, and maintains records, reports, and materials.
    • Applies additions, changes, and redactions independently in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
    • Manages and disseminates policies and procedures; publishes and updates documents of agency importance.
    • Performs data analysis and report development and maintenance activities.
    • Analyzes source system data to understand the data structure, definitions and anomalies.
    • Interacts with other technical team members to establish requirements.
    • Performs query and report writing as requested.
    • Assists the Public Information Officer with meeting the agency’s communications and community engagement objectives by coordinating daily social media platforms to successfully demonstrate the agency’s message, services, and commitment to the community.
    • Serves as the official back-up to the Public Information Officer.

    • Three (3) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Maintain all certifications/training once obtained. 

    Other Information to Note:

    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Cannot have a felony conviction
    • No convictions involving domestic violence
    • No use of illegal drugs within the past five years
    • No use of marijuana in any form within the past two years
    • Pass integrity questionnaire
