    The Equipment Parts Technician assist Fleet operations by teaming with the Heavy and Light Duty Technicians with the repair, service, and maintenance of heavy gasoline and diesel driven equipment and vehicles across all of Larimer County. 



    Specifically this person:

    • Determines appropriate vendors for automotive and heavy equipment parts, ensuring efficient and effective use of County funds.
    • Orders and inventories automotive and heavy equipment parts stock; requests reorders of stock items as necessary.
    • Picks up and receives parts from local vendors and arranges for the most effective method of shipping parts from supplier locations.
    • Purchases non-stock items, special orders, and supplies as requested.
    • Monitors the County’s fuel supply; requests and reorders as necessary.

    • Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Possession of and ability to maintain a Colorado Class “R” Drivers License.
    • Possession of, or the ability to obtain within six months, an Automotive Institute of Excellence (ASE) certification in Parts. 
    • An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked. A successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
