The RMNP Fall Crew Leader is a seasonal, supervisory position managing a crew of young adults who perform various construction projects in Rocky Mountain National Park. Projects typically focus on exterior and interior finishing work, including painting, trim work, cabinet installation, landscaping, decking, and a variety of flooring. Crew Leaders will co-lead and work side-by-side with corpsmembers to complete construction projects in a variety of weather conditions. This position will run from October 12-February 18, 2018.
The Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) promotes individual development through service for the benefit of our environment and community. Our programs empower corpsmembers to develop personal and professional skills, gain environmental awareness and actively engage in the community, while developing self-sufficiency to help them become productive members of our community. The LCCC is based in Fort Collins, Colorado and is an accredited corps through the Colorado Youth Corps Association and The Corps Network.
Crew leaders are expected to work 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crew leaders stay in RMNP staff housing, provided without charge, with the corpsmembers throughout the season. Crew leaders have no crew obligations on weekends. Please note that crews will not work the week of December 24 – 31 or federal holidays. This schedule may be modified due to training, weather, logistics, or other unforeseen circumstances as needed.

Environmental Conditions and Physical Surroundings:
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check. As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked. A successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
