    Larimer County IT nurtures strategic relationships with county services and elected offices through a team of IT Business Relationship Managers. We are looking for a leader to actively engage with a diverse customer population, strategize in building technology roadmaps, orchestrate and connect IT services and customers in an enterprise environment, and assist county entities in growing capacity and efficiency in tandem with technology improvements.

     

    As an IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a relatively new role, we’re seeking someone with flexibility, agility, experience working with organizations and leaders at the C level (executive), a strong background in IT technology, and a passion for local government services.     An IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is the strategic liaison between the Larimer County divisions, elected offices and IT, positioned to help the business grow in capability and maturity, and for IT to meet the commensurate demand. This role shapes business demand for IT services and ensures the potential business value from those services is realized.  They are instrumental in identifying and presenting business cases for new enterprise service investments and for promoting customer knowledge within IT.

    An IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) shapes business demand for IT services and ensures the potential business value from those services is realized. We are looking for someone to work with our Public Safety sector (Sheriff, Criminal Justice, District Attorney, Coroner). Long term, BRMs may rotate sectors every few years with the goal of building cross-county expertise.

    • This position is a strategic liaison between the businesses and IT, and requires someone with significant IT experience. Preference will be given to those who’ve been in high-level management or project management roles, and those who have specific experience in public safety or military operations.
    • You’ll need to be adept in communication and building relationships with people ranging from Sheriff to District Attorney, and those in organizations responsible for working with IT to implement and support solutions that add value to their service.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

     

    • Strong background in services such as data networking, client computing, collaboration, application development, enterprise computing and end user support services
    • Existing knowledge of current Larimer County services desired, specifically associated with Public Safety (Sheriff including Jail & Patrol, Community Corrections, Alternative Sentencing, District Attorney, Coroner)
    • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
    • Outstanding technical and nontechnical communication skills
    • Ability to see the customer’s point of view
    • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence; conflict resolution
    • Ability to team with strategic providers in defining solutions that meet business needs
    • Attention to detail, highly organized, strong written skills
    • Considerable knowledge and experience with the principles of process quality assurance.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science discipline.
    • 5-10 years experience in customer relationship, business relationship management, project management, business analysis or experience related to IT Business Relationship Management.
    • Prefer: BRMP (Business Relationship Management Professional certification from BRMI), over seven years experience in systems and organizational development, systems analysis, methodology management, business process analysis, agile principles, crucial conversations, project management.
    • Desired Certifications or some combination of the following: ITIL (IT Information Library, various certifications), Six Sigma certification, Mentoring/Coaching, Leadership Development, Change Management, Process Improvement and/or Project Management Certification (PMI).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and Google applications.
