Overview

The Larimer County IT department is seeking an Application Programmer Analyst with  a focus on quality assurance, web-based application layout and application development support.  This position will join our Agile scrum driven Application Development Services team to help us promote innovation, improvements and provide quality customer service.

Details

The ideal candidate will understand web-based application development concepts, end to end testing and quality assurance techniques, and is motivated by improving the layout, usability and browser compatibility of web-based application user interfaces using CSS.  Knowledge of Angular/Javascript and .Net/C# is a plus.

This position will:

  • Participate as a team member for coordinating, developing, and designing web-based information systems to solve business problems
  • Improve the layout, appearance and usability of web-based applications
  • Focus on applying Quality Assurance tools and techniques to improve user outcomes
  • Maintains and modifies existing applications
  • Confer with end users to understand and document their concerns using our systems
  • Writes new programs of low to moderate complexity and scope using standard procedures
  • Works with Senior Application Programmer Analysts and technical staff members in the development of highly complex programs or large systems
  • Work on and maintain County UI standards/templates for web-based applications

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years utilizing Quality Assurance tools and techniques to drive improvements in software systems
  • One (1) years of experience programming web-based software solutions using CSS, Angular/JavaScript, .Net/C# or similar language
  • Two (2) years of system analysis and design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
