The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) department was formed in January 2019. The BHS Business Operations Coordinator will be joining a small, high energy team. The Behavioral Health Services department is responsible for overseeing the funds to increase awareness and access to appropriate and affordable behavioral health-care around Larimer County.


This BHS Business Operations Coordinator will be responsible for office administration, policy development, meeting coordination, and contract administration. Excellent customer service, solid planning and organizational skills, confidentiality, priority setting and meeting deadlines are critical to the success of this position.


General responsibilities include:

  • Office administration, file management, policy development.
  • Meeting scheduling, preparation, agendas, attendance and minutes.  
  • Business applications and user support.
  • System maintenance.
  • Project research, documentation and sharing.
  • Departmental support, operational analysis.
  • Internal and external communications.

 The successful candidate is someone who:

  • Has experience working in a start-up position.
  • Can work effectively with a wide range of diverse customers/partners in the community.
  • Can manage and implement change.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is comfortable determining organizational efficiencies and methodologies.
  • Has a broad community understanding with a behavioral health focus.

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field required. Equivalent years of experience and/or post-secondary education may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Education related to Behavioral Health highly desired.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Driver's License required.

As marijuana is an illegal substance under federal law, testing positive for marijuana (medical or otherwise) or any other substance for which the county tests, will result in the contingent offer of employment being revoked. A successful completion of the drug screen is defined as obtaining a negative result.
