Larimer County Road and Bridge is looking for an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project cost accounting and will be forward thinking and creative; possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to create, manage and support successful teams. The person in this position will be responsible for modernizing processes with a focus on financial systems and trends. The Larimer County Road and Bridge Department operates on a $31 million dollar budget, which includes complex funding that will be under the oversight of the Accounting Manager.


Key roles in this job include:

  • Development of financial goals and objectives in conjunction with management staff and clearly communicates goals and objectives to all Road and Bridge Staff.
  • Coordinates preparation and review of department budgets, business plans, and performance measures.
  • Analyzes and monitors department expenditures and revenues.
  • Research, design, implement, and maintain, departmental accounting systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting or similar accounting duties.
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience
